Vocation
Calling All with Hearts on Fire for Christ!
Are you searching for a life filled with purpose, love, and service? Do you feel a tug in your heart to make a real difference in a world that hungers for hope? The Priests of the Sacred Heart (Dehonians) invite YOU to discern your vocation with us and join a vibrant community dedicated to spreading the boundless love of Jesus’ Sacred Heart!
Our founder, Fr. Leo John Dehon, had a dream: to rebuild the world with God’s kingdom of love and justice. As Dehonians, we live this dream through our charism of love and reparation, rooted in Eucharistic adoration and a passion for serving those society overlooks - the poor, the marginalized, and the forgotten. We’re not just priests and brothers; we’re prophets of love and servants of reconciliation, bringing Christ’s healing touch to a fragmented world. From parishes to missions, from schools to social outreach, we serve in over 40 countries, united by our motto: Sint Unum - that we may be one in Christ’s heart.
Imagine living in a community where daily prayer, Eucharistic devotion, and shared mission fuel your spirit. Picture yourself walking with those in need, proclaiming God’s love through action, and growing closer to Jesus every day. Whether you’re drawn to priesthood, brotherhood, or simply exploring God’s call, we invite you to come and see! Join us for a discernment retreat, meet our joyful community, and discover how your gifts can shine for God’s glory.
Take the leap! Contact our vocation director at vocation@scjcanada.org or call us at (416) 531-1454. Let’s walk together toward the Heart of Jesus - your vocation journey starts here.

Vocation
It is necessary to embrace one's own vocation and enter into the process of constant maturity through a daily yes! Vocational accompaniment consists of mutual knowledge. The Congregation knows the person with the vocation, even if superficially, and the person with the vocation knows the Congregation. Together, the person with the vocation and the Congregation listen to the voice of God, seeking to identify what His will is.
